Large Japanese Bronze and multi-metal pair of Incense Burners in the form of Sho (Ohashi San-emon).
A celebration of Japanese musical instruments of the time, these Koro date from the late 19th Century (Circa 1880) are in the form of “Sho”, (an instrument similar in appearance to the Pan Pipes).
Numerous other traditional court music instruments are also depicted on the body of the Koros. Offered in excellent condition and signed Ohashi San-emon , please feel free to contact us for further information.
