A large French bronze entitled "Captive" by Hippolyte Moreau (1832-1927). Hippolyte was the son of sculptor Jean Baptiste Moreau (1797-1855) following in his footsteps, along with brothers, Mathurin and Auguste. Hippolyte exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1863, winning a third class medal in 1877 and a bronze medal at the Exposition Univetselle of 1900.
