An impressive early 20th Century cut glass inkwell with a silver top housing a verge watch. Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement. Engraved cock with diamond endstone, plain three arm steel balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.
White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, gilt hands. engine turned silver open face case with ribbed middle. Hallmarked London 1825, maker's mark "IC" in a rectangle. Large square glass inkwell with canted corners, the concave base decorated with a cut star reflecting the colour of the ink. Circular hinged silver top fitted with the watch secured by a bayonet fit silver bezel.
