A Large Art Nouveau Figural Lamp, by Luigi Betti.
Standing over 4 feet tall and beautifully cast from warm-coloured and patinated spelter, modelled as a female figure seated at a rustic stone water well with a bucket made of frosted glass, a large canopy of a grapevine above her, fitted with lights in the shape of bunches of grapes made from coloured glass. Signed to the base "L.Betti."

Luigi Betti, born in Chiusi, Italy, showed at the French Art expositions between 1902 and 1922, gaining an honourable mention in 1909, and was created a Chevalier of the Legion d' Honneur in 1921.
