A large Italian silver (.800purity) centrepiece vase made by Mario Poli of Milan circa 1950 (working 1994 -1968). This stylish centrepiece vase is beautifully handmade and each of the four sides is inset with lapis lazuli within a decorative cartouche. The sides and foot have a wonderfully shaded matted effect and there is some excellent applied work. The handles are cast in a garland of flowers. This would make a lovely centrepiece filled with flowers.
