A very large 19th Century walnut upholstered centre stool on original Copes & Collinson castors
English Circa 1860.
Of large scale, this rare centre stool would be ideal for a coffee / centre table measuring over 5 ft wide.
The drop in cushioned centre surrounded by a moulded and carved frame over four turned and carved legs sitting on square caps united by a H framed stretcher base, raised on original brass 'Copes & Collinson' Patented Strong cup castors (never been off).
The fabric, which looks to be the original, would benefit from being recovered which can be organised to a client fabric choice.
Offered in excellent original condition having been wax polished, the centre stretcher is later but extremely well matched.
A very rare piece indeed.
