An Exceptionally Rare 19th Century Regency Mahogany Window
Seat, Or Hall Bench, Of Imposing Scale Having Very Well Figured
Top With Turned Roll Applied To Each End Raised On Six
Elegant Turned Legs

(These window seats, or hall benches often follow a similar
theme in terms of design but the quality of construction can
vary wildly. The other thing that varies significantly is the size
of course, and we thought we had previously owned just
about every style, quality and design possible but even we
were taken aback to find one of this length. It is incredibly
rare to find such a good quality one, in such good condition
that is on this scale and we think it is a quite magnificent piece
to be honest. It is an incredibly functional piece of furniture which
could be used in a whole plethora of different locations including
underneath a window, along the wall in a narrow
hallway, behind a settee, at the end of the bed,
or even as a narrow but low coffee table.)
