Lacquer Tebako by a Shunshō Family Member.
The accessory box of rectangular shape, the lid decorated with a hibari (skylark) flying over flowering peonies, in toned gold and silver hiramakie and togidashi, with some kinpun, the top of the lower part with a band of key fret, the interior decorated in nashiji.
Signed Shunshō with a red seal Shunshō, and with the label of Michael Tomkinson, numbered 492 . Circa 1800.

His sale, Glendining & Co. Ltd., 8th December 1921, lot 915.
My own surmise is that this is by either Seirei (1734-1803), or more likely Seishi (1774-1831).
