Kutani porcelain okimono, Japan, c. 1900. Meiji Period. Finely modelled as a sleeping cat, it’s hair delineated in gilt. Wearing a fabric collar, enamels in iron red, with a turquoise liner, and spots, and having two gilts bells attached.
