Kungrat Ilgich, a wall hanging of archaic character dating to the middle of the 19th century. It is worked in silk in a variety of stitches, mainly chain stitch, cross stitch and couching, on a rare green ground, with weft-float brocading and braided net fringes ending in knots and tassels, including never-ending knots
This highly collectible textile will be in our non-selling exhibition "50 Years - Along the Way", a retrospective celebrating Christopher Legge's 50 years in the business. Open daily 19 - 27 October, 9.30am - 5pm Monday to Saturday, 10am - 4pm on Sundays.
