Kelvin, Bottomley & Baird - Glasgow. 19th Century brass cased marine barometer.

1890

Unusual late 19th Century brass cased bulkhead marine barometer; the 5 1/2 inch enamel dial, signed by the maker, and protected by bevelled plate glass; the whole in cylindrical case – 8 in. max. diameter x 4 in depth. 

Some minor cracks in top-left segment of dial. 

Noted marine instrument makers, who operated from a number of premises in Glasgow from 1872-1902.
