An attractive improved sympiesometer.  The dark mahogany case has nicely shaped mouldings to the edges and a flat moulded top.

The silvered brass dial is signed for the maker Keen & Frodsham, Liverpool and is numbered 2951.  It is of standard form with a thermometer on the left hand side and the sympiesometer tube to the right.  The adjustable scale for reading the pressure is moved up and down via a small key.

At the bottom of the case is an adjustable wheel which can be set to the last reading and so you can see whether pressure is rising or falling.

Keen & Frodsham are recorded as working from around 1850-1870.  They traded from 17 South Castle Street, Liverpool.
