Chinese early 18th century famille verte saucer made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi at the kilns at Jingdezhen.
Painted to the centre with Phoenix and Qylin. The phoenix is flying above the Qylin a mythical beast who is breathing fire all in a hilly landscape with plantain
The Sides are painted in four panels also with Shiels and in others a golden pheasant on rockwork and mandarin ducks in and around a pond
The underside painted with flower sprays and to the base a double circle around a daisy
very pretty 11cm in diameter
