Kangxi - Chinese early 18th century - porcelain bottle vase. Painted in over glaze enamels with two rectangular panels. one panel shows a few of the items referred to as the 'Hundred Antiques Pattern'. The items include a brush pot of scrolls and brushes, a vase of flowers and peacock feathers and a ding or incense burner.
The second rectangular panel shows rock work with grasses and flowers - peonies and chrysanthemums and seed heads. these are below a few flying insects.
The panels are separated by flower heads and foliage
The rim has a narrow hatched pattern and to the base the provenance from Hancock of St James's is still attached from an earlier purchase.
