Kangxi - chinese Early 18th Century - Famille Plate

Kangxi - Chinese early 18th century - deep rounded plate painted in the famille verte palette with over glaze enamels for export to Europe.
Made at Jingdezhen the plate is painted to show a golden pheasant perched on rockwork with large flowers from auspicious plants including magnolia, chrysanthemum  and Peony. The pheasant is looking as though he is  parading itself to a female pheasant on a lower outcrop of rock. painted unusually with humour.
the enamel work in the painting is excellent with various subtle tones of greens and whites with yellow and blue and orange. The blue flower is usually a hibiscus but difficult to be sure on this plate
The underside painted with sprays of flowers and to the base a double circle around a square shop mark.
