Chinese early 18th century blue and white deep dish made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi for Export to Europe at the kilns at Jingdezhen.
Painted to the centre with a scholar and his attendant on a promontory with a bridge in a mountainous river landscape. On the opposite bank there is a mountain retreat. A solitary fisherman on the river is in front of them.
The ri is painted with various flower sprays. the rim has a barbed edge.
To the back is a daisy painted inside a double circle.
excellent colour.
