Japanese Imari barber's bowl, circa 1700, decorated to the centre with a jardinière of peony and sprays of millet, the rim with swirling cloud and prunus flowers against a blue ground adorned with cash coins and scrolling gilt ribbons, the reverse with two sprays of plum and narrow bands of underglaze blue.
