Japanese cloisonné enamel vase finely worked in silver wire with Manchurian cranes on a shore above crushing waves and another crane flying above, on a cream ground the foot with stylised flowers applied with copper gilt mounts with the Hayashi Chuzo mark, Meiji period (1868-1912).
The artist Hayashi Chuzo was active from 1860 to 1920. He exhibited at the San Francisco Exposition in 1915 and won a silver award at the International Exhibition in Liege in 1905.
