A Japanese carved wood figure of Kwannon, Meiji Period. The serene goddess, having inlaid eyes, and seated upon a rocky outcrop, wearing robes carved with stylised textile motifs, and edged in cinnabar lacquer. The separate, carved rock work base, in,aid with flowers.
Height - 37 cm, 14 1/2”
Width - 26 cm, 10 1/4”.
Condition - Some typical age cracks. Otherwise in excellent condition. No repairs
