A tiny view from a similar vantage point by the artist was commissioned for the library in Queen Mary’s Doll’s House and is in the Royal Collection (RL 27382).
Snell trained at Heatherley’s in London, Paris and Amsterdam and exhibited work at the Paris Salon as well as in London. He was a prolific painter and exhibited his work extensively including at the Glasgow Institute of Fine Art, the Royal Scottish Academy as well as the Royal Cambrian and Hibernian Academies. He was a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy London and his work can be found in several public collections.
