A fine rendering of an Egyptian eagle by Sauvigny during the early 19th century. This particular work is from his voyages to Egypt with the French military. In a later glazed frame. The reverse bearing the gallerist label of Schartz Freres, Encadrements Artistiques, Rue des Soeurs No. 64, 13Rue Mah. Pacha El-Falaki-Alexandrie, Maison Fondee en 1921.
