A rare early Georgian mahogany cheval mirror; the original bevelled mirror plate set within a mahogany frame which can be adjusted up and down using a weighted mechanism set within the end supports and with a shelf to the rear; the end-supports raised on elegantly swept legs which terminate in French scroll toes.
It is extremely rare to find an early Georgian cheval mirror and this mirror is in exceptional condition, retaining its original bevelled mirror plate and the mahogany frame has an excellent colour and patination.
