An important Renaissance-Revival gold, enamel and diamond picture frame, the frame of openwork scroll design elaborately decorated with black and white pique enamel, further enhanced with eight old mine-cut diamonds in silver settings, the inner border decorated with formal foliage in translucent green enamel, the gold engraved strut resembling a sheaf of papyrus secured by a gold chain, measuring approximately 6.75 x 5.75″, signed C.G., with original fitted gilt-embossed leather case signed C.Giuliano, circa 1890, gross weight 672 grams.
