Stunning and most interesting Empire Period European Burl Ash Pedestal Cabinet,of rare form and design. Presumably a special commission for a particular piece of sculpture it has the added practicality of having a commodious spaced interior. The whole is particularly well balanced and decorated with an array of superb gilt bronze mounts to the fore , highlighted by the lyre to the centre surrounded by the finest arrow mountings separated in the four corners , each with a circular flower paterae .

A most unusual piece in that Napoleanic fashion meaning to impress. The subtle choice of timber used has been carefully chosen to reduce the bold dimensions to looking quite light .This style is mostly credited to Northern Europe .

Note :- the surface of the well chosen timbers has not been interfered with over the ages allowing the most wonderful natural patination to give an air of aged chicness.          Slip of Veneer   " Colour and Patination is Paramount "

Dimensions   ...........    5 ft    x    3 ft  6 inches
