A huanghuali mirror stand, the base with mitred corners re-inforced with inset huangtong mounts to each corner, with two flat stretchers tenoned across the width. A rectangular support, chamfered on one short face is pivoted on a rail similarly tenoned across the width. The resting surface for the mirror is mitred and half-lapped at the joints and cut with a concave moulding. The removeable curved mirror rest (replaced) can be removed by turning it through 90 degrees.
