Heuer’s Autavia watch was worn by famous racing drivers like Graham Hill, Jo Siffert, Gilles Villeneuve and Jochen Rindt, and pop icons like Mick Jagger. This version of the Heuer Autavia is known as the "Viceroy" and comes with a tachymeter bezel rather than the more common MH bezel. In 1972 Heuer decided to go for an extensive promotion in the USA of this model together with cigarette brand Viceroy. After buying a packet of Viceroy, you could send in a coupon and receive a Heuer Autavia at a reduced price.
Steel case, diameter 42 mm, reference 1163, an automatic calibre 12 movement, dated 1974. It is fitted with a new generic leather strap.
