The Label displays a crescent below which is engraved for PORT, with a reed and bright cut border. The face is also engraved with two floral sprigs.
This scarce example displays the rare balloon shaped motif above flanked, on each side, by pierced and bright cut garlands.
The label is in excellent condition and is marked on the reverse with the maker's mark and sterling mark.
This is a scarce design, a similar example being shown in the Hester Bateman book,by David Shure, Plate XLI.
