A mid 19th century mahogany starboard-side half hull model of the Opium Clipper Brig Anonyma, with carved ivory figurehead.

The reserve inscribed: model of brig Anonyma which was formerly Colonel Greville's yacht of Milford Haven, afterwards the receiving ship for the opium smugglers at Namoa in 1850.

Provenance: The Captain John Crowder Maritime Collection, Waikawa Bay, New Zealand.

Anonyma was a yacht built at Gosport by William Camper in 1839 for Lt Col the hon R. F. Greville. Anonyma became an Opium Clipper in 1842. Full rigged brig throughout her career.

Length: 120 cm.
