An 18th century gunpowder storage flask, the body of polished hard black leather, bulbous at the front, flattened at the back and stitched together with four suspension tabs, turned top mount with threaded brass nozzle, and threaded cap with hinged catch.
Stamped to the cap with a maker's initials 'RA'.
