A lovely example of an early C19th Figural Coquilla Gentleman snuff box. Standing 9cm’s tall with original glass eyes and superb bone coat buttons to his jacket front as well cuffs and back. He is very well carved with a waistcoat and sporting a Bi-Corne hat also with bone button. He stands and is a wonderfully colour and patination. There is a piece of brass fitted behind his feet at the bottom of the opening as reinforcement. It is difficult to know if this original or not as it is a general weak part of the Coquilla nut. Please see appropriate photo. Circa 1840-50
