A good quality, early 18th century burr walnut chest of two short and three long graduated drawers. The cross-banded top with central oval inlay and moulded edge, above the drawers, also cross-banded and raised on partly original shaped bracket feet. All of excellent colour and patina.
The handles replaced with old drops of suitable style and fitted through the original holes. Some patched repairs to the top, typical of such pieces made with fragile burr veneers.
Circa 1730
