Gold Quarter Repeating Musical Watch.

An early 19th Century Swiss quarter repeating musical watch with gold dial in a gold open face case.  Gilt movement with two resting barrels, the larger barrel, being half the diameter of the movement, providing the power for the musical train.  Polished steel Geneva stopwork.  Pierced sector shaped cock, polished steel coqueret, polished steel regulator.  Plain gilt balance with spiral spring, polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel.  Polished steel work on back plate to control the disc type musical train and a steel Strike – Silent lever.  Pendant quarter repeating on two steel gongs, the repeating work situated under the dial.  Lateral slide in the band to actuate the musical mechanism.  The music also playing automatically on the hour.  Signed gold engine turned dial, Roman numerals, gilt Breguet hands.  Fine engine turned gold open face case, ribbed middle.  Gilt cuvette with apertures for winding.
