A 19th Century Swiss independent seconds lever in a gold open face case. Keywind gilt bar movement with two suspended going barrels under separate bridges. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance, overcoil hairspring.
Club foot straight line lever escapement. Seperate independent train for the centre seconds hand which jumps once each second.
Off white enamel dial with continuous subsidiary seconds and independent jump centre seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Plain 18 carat open face case, small slide in the band to start and stop the independent seconds.
Wound and set through the gold cuvette, dedication on the inside of the back lid, maker's mark "SQ" in a shield.
