Gold Ball Watch.

A fine late 19th Century Swiss cylinder ball watch and matching chain. Unusual keyless gilt movement constructed with the train wheels above the going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator.

Plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. Small white enamel dial with blue Arabic numerals, the 12 o'clock marking in red, gilt minute markings and hands.

The case is constructed in three parts, the gold middle with applied gold bead decoration. The two gold hemispheres with applied gold wire decoration. Gold hand set button and ring pendant.

The watch is wound and set by turning the top hemisphere of the case in relation to the lower hemisphere. Black fabric cord with gilt fastener.
