Industrie Vetrarie Reunite I.V.R Mazzega originated from Romano Mazzega, a glass works founded by Romano Mazzega in 1929. This was sold to Aureliano Toso in 1937 and it became Vetri Decorativi Rag. Aureliano Toso. In 1938, Romano and his siblings, Maria and Gino founded Fratelli Mazzega. In 1950 it became I.V.R Mazzega. In 1954 the firm collaborated with Centro Studio Pittori nell'Arte del Vetro di Murano (Fucina degli Angeli). This included pieces designed by Marc Chagall, Georges Braque, Picasso, Gio Ponti and Jean Cocteau. In 1983 the firm closed operations.
