A rare Georgian period silver fiddle thread pattern flatware service all made in 1821 by William Eley and William Fearn of London. This 200 year old flatware service is all made in the same year (1821) by the same maker ( Eley and Fearn) and all pieces bear the same family crest and is in excellent condition- some of the crests have been recut as they must have started to get faint. Complete sets of this period are getting increasingly hard to find. The threading is completely hand engraved unlike later examples which are die struck and the threading is on one side only as is common on very early examples such as this. The service comprises 12 table spoons ,12 table forks,12 dessert spoons,12 dessert forks and12 tea spoons. Included in the price are 12 table Knives and 12 dessert knives with silver handles and stainless steel blades which are later in date and dish washer safe -also pictured are 12 table knives and 12 dessert knives from 1790/1 by Moses Brent of London with later stainless steel blades ( not dish washer safe )that could be exchanged for the more modern ones. (84 pieces total)
