Georgian Partners Desk.

A rare George III partners desk of a good nut-brown colour and patina, drawers on the front and back (no cupboards), the cock-beaded drawer fronts attractively veneered in one continuous sheet of figured mahogany, cedar lined drawers and many of the original 2 pin locks still present. The swan neck handles are through the original holes and the later knobs holes were plugged and veneered over so they hardly show. Good original large castors - the desk can rolled easily across a room. A rare feature is the secret spring-loaded drawer in the kneehole. The desk is in 1 large section and doesn't dismantle.

The photographs of the back have the key in the centre drawer, the fronts with the key in the right-hand drawer.

Circa 1760.
