A Good Quality George III Period Mahogany Hexagonal
Drum Table Having Well Figured Top With Segmented
Veneers And Ebonised Strung Decoration Over Six Frieze
Drawers With Later Brass Handles Raised On Elegant Turned
Central Column Terminating With Tripod Legs And Original
Brass Castors

(An elegant and good quality example of its type this is smaller than
most centre tables whilst still being larger than most occasional or
lamp tables. The segmented top is a most unusual feature, as is the fact
that the segmented top is hexagonal. It is also quite a nice feature to
have six drawers rather than the usual drawer, false drawer, drawer, false
drawer arrangement which is so common. The brass knobs are replaced
but of a style contemporary to the piece and work nicely on it. Overall the
condition is excellent and it is ready to be immediately used in
whatever environment required.)

Circa 1800
