Georgian Mahogany Corner Cabinet.

An Attractive And Very Good Quality George III Period, Late 18th Century, Mahogany Wall Hanging Corner Cabinet, With Ebonised Inlay Decoration And One Glazed Door, With Mostly Original Glass And Elegant Astragal Decoration, Enclosing Fixed Shelves.

Corner cabinets, particularly hanging ones, are a great solution to a room which is lacking both storage and display space, with wall spaces that are already full. This is of course due to the gact they can be mounted in the corner and add a large amount more display space to a room which would otherwise be classified as full. They also add real elegance and a slightly different dimension.

This is a really nice, georgian 18th century corner cabinet and is constructed from good quality mahogany timbers. There is also a lot of effort been put into the elegant design of the astragal doors and inlaid decoration.

Overall the condition is good, just a few old marks, scuffs, scatches, chips and dents which are to be expected on a piece of furniture which has been well used of this age and all of these blend in perfectly well with the overall look of the piece. It also comes supplied with working lock and key and the majority of the glass contained within the door is original, but not all.

As with all items which we list for sale this georgian corner cabinet has received a natural wax polish by our traditional antique furniture restorers before being advertised for sale.

Circa 1790.

Height 42in.
Width 30in. (This measurement is across the front of the cabinet)
Depth 21in. (This measurement is how far along a wall from the corner the cupboard would protrude)
