Georgian Fruitwood Wine Goblet
With Original Silver Metal Mounts
English, c.1790
Dimensions
20.5cms high x 13cms diameterCondition report
Of classic form, with a turned baluster stem, this silver mounted goblet has excellent scale and proportions, the shield shaped cartouche is not inscribed and neither that nor the rim mount are hallmarked as they are so incidental in weight. The bowl of the goblet has a repaired shrinkage split down from the rime, behind the shield shaped mount, otherwise it is in generally good condition and has a lovely nutty colour.Stock number
