A fabulous Georgian ring.

This beautiful ring is large for the period and has an emerald and pearl design set with small ruby and gold beadwork accents. The ring has ornate triple foliate shoulders each set with an emerald to the top and a plain shank to the reverse.

The original locket back behind the head of the ring is sadly long gone and the head of the ring is closed to the reverse typical of jewellery of the Regency era. The emeralds are a particularily good colour.

This ring, in common with the vast majority of Georgian pieces is a dress ring and will not take 'heavy' wear being over 200 years old. Rings of this age and in this condition are increasingly hard to find.
