A Georgian Chippendale period mahogany pedestal desk; the desk's leathered top crossbanded in mahogany above three frieze drawers to the front with a central recessed panelled door flanked by banks of three graduated drawers; to the rear of the desk are two frieze drawers above banks of three graduated drawers; the kneehole to the rear has a blind panelled door. The desk is raised on a plinth base with recessed castors.

This Georgian desk retains all of its original swan neck handles, which is very rare, and a good colour and patination. The drawers are oak lined which is a sign of high quality craftsmanship.
