A very good quality late George III/early Regency period Mahogany Centre Standing Drum Table.

Having attractive old gilt tooled leather to circular rotating top over four frieze drawers alternating with four false drawers.

Raised on elegant turned central column with moulded tripod legs retaining original brass cup castors.

Drum tables quite often find themselves referred to as rent tables due to the belief that landlords would use them as a desk for keeping accounts, and collecting rent monies that were due.

They are extremely desirable and sought after pieces of antique furniture due to their relative uniqueness and their incredible versatility when it comes to function.

This is evident by the fact they can be used in a whole variety of different spaces around the home from entrance halls to libraries, studies and living rooms.

They generally add a real touch of elegance to any position they are placed, as well as the aforementioned functionality.

This one is good quality and has real elegance to its clean, simple design.

As is relatively standard with this type of table, it is easy to dismantle into two parts, making it very easy to ship and then once in situ, to position into any room of your choosing.
