A Very Good Quality George III Period Mahogany Collectors
Cabinet Having Two Well Figured Doors Enclosing Six shallow
Oak Lined Drawers Raised On Elegant Original Stand With
Square Tapered Legs, Shaped Undertier And
Original Brass Castors

(Collectors cabinets can be found in many different shaped, sizes
and forms and vary wildly in quality and design. This has been
constructed from a high end grade of mahogany and was clearly
built to last, as it is as fit for purpose now as the day it was made. It
is a sweet size, not too overpowering but at the same time not so
small that it would look insignificant in a room. The cabinet retains a
label showing that at some point it was retailed by the famous London
furniture specialists "Norman Adams Ltd" who dealt at the very top
end of the English trade for around 8 decades, finally closing
their doors for business in 2009. This small piece of provenance
further enhances the desirability and status of this attractive piece).
