A Charming George II Period 18th Century Walnut
Centre, Or Console Table, Having Beautiful Sienna
Marble Top Over Well Figured Cushion Frieze Retaining
Rich Colour And Patina Raised On Elegant Cabriole Legs
Terminating On Original Pad Feet
(It's rare to find a table of this type in such good condition
with just the expected old scuffs, scrapes and marks, but no
major structural defects. The table is finished the same all of
way round meaning it is perfect to act as a centrally standing
feature table, but at the same time the overhang of the marble
means that it can be placed against a wall and used as a console
or side table. The marble is most attractive and may well be
original although this cannot be guaranteed. It is also a sweet size,
big enough to be practical, whilst at the same time not being overly
large and grand in scale like many of these tables, meaning of course
that it should slot seamlessly into almost any room desired.)
