A very good quality and charming mid 18th century Mahogany Tallboy or Chest On Chest.

Having Greek key cornice over three short and six long drawers, retaining original brass swan neck handles.

Flanked by canted corners with attractive blind fretwork carved decoration, raised on bold original shaped bracket feet.

This fabulous example of a piece of 18th century English furniture is both beautiful and functional.

The Tallboy is constructed from good quality mahogany and retains all of its original features.

It is as fit for purpose as the day it was made. The large amount of storage is offered in drawers which still open and close satisfyingly smoothly.

It also has the greek key carving to the cornice and the beautiful blink fretwork carving to the frieze and canted corners, which adds a real touch of class to the piece.

Finally, it is raised on amazingly bold, high, original bracket feet which give the piece a real presence and importance in just about any position that it is placed. Definitely a personal favourite of mine!

Circa 1760.

Height - 72in.
Width - 42.5in.
Depth - 22.5in.
