This group of four racehorses after George Stubbs "Protector", "Anvil", Sweetbrier" and "Sweetwilliam" each measure 16"x 20" and are mounted and framed giving a size of 24"x 28" for each engraving. They were engraved by George Townly Stubbs and each is inscribed below the image "London Published 1794 by Messrs. Stubbs, Turf Gallery, Conduit Street".
Good early states, part printed in colours and finished by hand. A fine and very decorative group of Stubbs Racehorses.
