Crisp set of 6 George IV Private Dye Kings Pattern Sterling Silver Table Forks.

Maker: R.Gray & Son. Glasgow 1837.

The Private Dye of a rampant demi goat facing left over a closed head of armour also facing left is placed in the middle of the Kings pattern design on the tip of the handle of each fork. The reverse of the handle has the  Kings pattern design while the date mark, the assay marks and maker's mark are clearly stamped at the base of the handle near the tines. 
The tines on each fork are long and good. The forks are well balanced and the crisp and the bold design adds to the decorativeness of the forks.

Weight: 11 troy ounces (342.14 grams).
