Maker: John Lampfert.
The reverse of the end of the stem has an engraved coat of arm which is quite worn. The attractive scroll at the end of the stem is particularly well made. John Lampfert is mainly known for his spoons.
The full set of hallmarks are stamped on the stem's reverse at the base near the join to the bowl. The maker's mark and the lion passant are clear but the kings head and the date mark are rubbed but legible.
Onslow is an 18th century pattern starting in circa 1760 but has been made intermittently up to the present day.
