A fine late eighteenth century neoclassical wine coaster made in London in 1787 by Hester Bateman. The coaster is beautifully hand pierced and engraved in the Adam style with bead borders and interspersed with five urns and a vacant cartouche to the front. The coaster is particularly fine as it has a silver base on top of the wood bearing the family crest of the original owner and is well hallmarked and in good condition.A lovely Hester Bateman coaster.
